For those that have completed an SSH treatment program, we offer a weekly Aftercare group in the evenings free of charge. You can attend as often as you’d like, for as long as you’d like!
Aftercare consists of a group led by an experienced SSH staff member that gives past clients the opportunity to discuss challenges they face in their recovery, daily issues, successes, and tools they’ve learned to use.
Participants have the opportunity to provide feedback to – and learn from – one another and to receive guidance and resources. These groups help provide ongoing recovery support and connections to the recovery community.
Addressing addiction can be a stressful, difficult concept for family and friends of addicted individuals. Not to mention that the recovery process may seem daunting, or even overwhelming for everyone involved.
Because addiction so profoundly affects not only the addict/alcoholic but the family unit as a whole, Support Systems Homes has developed a family program to support those who have been impacted by another person’s substance abuse problem.
The goal of our family program is to provide education about addiction and recovery, and therapy to help family members begin their own healing process. The educational component meets once a week and assists the client and family members in understanding the complicated web of addiction. As well as its impact on the family as a whole.
All family members of clients participating in detox, residential treatment, day treatment, and outpatient drug rehab are welcome to attend this program.
SSH has an alumni association consisting of past clients. We give you opportunities to participate in activities throughout each year. Help plan our annual barbecue, or bring your family and attend!
Ask about our social outings and volunteer opportunities, including sponsoring new clients. Yes, as an SSH alumnus, you help others free themselves from addiction too.
If you’re participating in one of our rehab programs now, your counselor will discuss aftercare when it’s time.
