Meet the Team

at Support Systems Homes

In 1990, two former addicts founded Support Systems Homes. After completing recovery programs and freeing themselves from substance abuse, they combined decades of business management & law enforcement experience to offer others like them something different…

A treatment center that tailored its programs to each individual’s needs.

Since we founded Support Systems Homes over 30 years ago, our staff members have shared a common goal. The same goal the founders had back in 1990: helping our clients reclaim their lives, free from alcohol and other drugs.

Here are the team members you will meet at Support Systems – the people who will help you work through addiction and toward recovery.

ROBERT "BOB" NORTON

Founder, President

As Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Support Systems Homes, Bob Norton was instrumental in launching this successful substance abuse treatment company. He has over 30 years of experience overseeing the provision of high quality treatment services, as well as advocating for those with alcohol and drug issues.

He helped establish Support Systems Homes’ reputation in the field, and its place in the San Jose community as a valuable resource. He increased the company’s program offerings from a handful of sober living homes in the early 1990s, to a full continuum of treatment services, including residential treatment centers, an outpatient treatment center, numerous sober living homes, a free lifetime aftercare program, and free seminars for current & past clients.

Bob also assembled the team that makes sure SSH maintains the highest accreditation from CARF (the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities) International. He is dedicated to helping clients and their families overcome the devastation caused by substance abuse.

JENNIFER DOOLEY

Executive Director

Jennifer oversees the operations of Support Systems Homes, Inc. She is a compassionate leader who understands our clients and works with staff to ensure that they receive the best care possible. Jennifer has been with Support Systems Homes since 1998.

She has been recognized as an innovative collaborator with agencies throughout Santa Clara County. Her experience in dealing with a wide range of issues throughout the years and her dedication to Support Systems’ mission makes her a valuable asset to the organization and to the people we serve. Jennifer is active in her community: she serves on several non-profit boards, and is a Commissioner for the City of Campbell.

Jennifer believes that recovery is for anyone who has a desire to change their life path, and hopes that someday the negative stigma of being an alcoholic or addict can be changed into something that reflects the true spirit of what recovery is, a gift of hope and transformation.
