Detox is the First Step to Freedom from Addiction.

Confidential Medically-Assisted Detox for San Jose Residents

Support Systems Homes - San Jose Detox and Drug RehabAny history of heavy drug use means it is important to experience the detoxification process in a comfortable environment; supervised by medical professionals 24 hours/day.

Support Systems Homes has medically assisted detox. We provide confidential treatment for individuals with drug addictions; including high functioning addicts and alcoholics.

To safely manage opiate withdrawal symptoms, Support Systems Homes has a medication assisted detox option, using buprenorphine (Subutex®, Suboxone®).

Detox From Heroin, Painkillers and Other Drugs

For a successful detox, you will need cutting-edge protocols, expert clinical personnel, a safe and supportive environment; and an introduction to the principles of recovery.

Support Systems Homes provides a safe and effective recovery environment for all who are willing to change their lives.

What’s Buprenorphine? An FDA Approved Detox Medication

Buprenorphine is an FDA-approved product used to help opiate addicts recover. It comes in two forms: Subutex® and a buprenorphine/naloxone product called Suboxone®.

Subutex® and Suboxone® are currently the only Schedule III, IV, or V medications to have received FDA approval for detoxification from opiates.

Easing Withdrawal Symptoms, Preparing You for Rehab

Buprenorphine is an opioid partial agonist. At low doses, buprenorphine produces enough of an effect to help you discontinue opiate use without experiencing withdrawal symptoms.

The effects of buprenorphine increase with larger doses of the drug until they plateau at a moderate dose. Then the effects do not increase anymore. This is the “ceiling effect” that makes buprenorphine a useful drug for rehabilitation purposes.

In high doses and under certain circumstances, buprenorphine can actually block the effects of full opioid agonists (e.g. heroin). It can even blunt withdrawal symptoms if administered to an addict while the drug of abuse is still in the bloodstream.

Will this Detox Method Work for Me?

Support Systems Home - Resources for RecoveryIf you have been diagnosed with an addiction to opiates (heroin, prescription painkillers, etc.), are willing to follow safety precautions at a drug rehab center, and have a desire to get clean, then Support Systems Homes can help you on your road to recovery. The medically-assisted detox course is the safest and easiest type of detoxification process to undergo.

First, you’ll be tested to make sure you’ll have no bad reactions to buprenorphine treatment. Once we’re sure you’ll be safe, our medical professionals administer the detox medication and stay with you. Once detox completes, we follow it with a review of our treatment options for you to select.

How Are Subutex and Suboxone Administered?

Subutex® and Suboxone are both sublingual tablets. They are placed and dissolved under the tongue.

Medication Safety Concerns

Because of its ceiling effect, buprenorphine is a safe method of detoxification from more dangerous opiates like heroin. Use of Subutex or Suboxone must be monitored by specifically qualified doctors.

Safe, Effective Outpatient Drug Rehab in Silicon Valley

Have you finished residential rehab – but feel like you could use more support? Or maybe, you’re looking for a treatment program that fits with your work or school schedule?

The ultimate goal of our outpatient treatment program is long-term abstinence from drugs and alcohol. We help you achieve it via education and treatment so you can re-enter society and lead a responsible, successful drug- and alcohol-free life.

Support Systems Homes offers flexible, multi-level outpatient rehab programs for clients who are stabilized in terms of their addictions, but who are seeking a less-intensive treatment option than a residential treatment program.

This level of care is an excellent choice for those who work, attend school, or have similar commitments.

Continuing Support for Outpatient Clients in Recovery

Support Systems Homes’ state-certified and CARF-accredited outpatient program is designed for clients who do not require – or who have completed – detoxification, residential treatment, or day treatment.

Outpatient groups are offered several times throughout the week during the day or at night, depending on individual needs. The length of time in the program depends on the individual and can be up to 90 days (more if needed).

Outpatient treatment gives you the opportunity to interact in a real world environment while benefiting from a peer-oriented, structured therapeutic program. Progress along your individual treatment plan is assessed regularly by clinical staff. Safe, supportive living in our sober living homes is highly recommended during the outpatient treatment process. (Residence in one of our sober living homes is not required for program participation.)

Graduates from the outpatient treatment program are welcome in our aftercare groups and alumni association. These groups help you with ongoing recovery support.
